March Classes

Saturday March 20 2-4pm  Magic Loop/2 Circular NeedlesLearn both of these interesting techniques that allow you to do circular knitting with any number of stitches.  You may never want to use your double pointed needles again!

 Supplies:  Yarn of your choice, 32" or 40" (preferred) circular needle, and 2 20" or a 16" and 24" circular needle.  Note:  Use yarn and needles in the weight and size that you are most likely to be using. 

 1 - 2 hour class                   Cost $25. 

 

 Tuesday March 23 6 -7:30pm  Baby Blanket Edgings: A great gift idea that puts a crochet edge on flannel.  Perfect for a last minute gift.

 Supplies:  Crochet Hook size B 

 1 - 1 1/2 hour class               Cost $25. 

 

 Wednesday March 24, 31 April 7, 14  10-11:30am 6-7:30pm   Beginners First Project:  Learn many new skills while knitting a useful 2-color cap.  Must be able to CO, K, P, and BO.

Supplies: Worsted Weight Yarn (5 sts = 1”) and Size 7 Circular Needles and size 7 dbl pt needles

4 - 1 ½ hour classes               Cost $60.

The Basics... 

Join me on Monday's to learn how to knit or crochet.  Whether you have never knitted or crocheted or just not done it in many years, this ongoing program will help you get into the habit again.  Come as often as you want and only pay for the times you are here taking the lessons you want.  

We will cover: Knitting - casting on, binding off, knitting, purling, ribbing, basic increases/decreases and pattern reading.  Crocheting - chain, single double, half double, slip stitch, granny squares and pattern reading.

Class times:  9:30 - 11am   or   5:30 - 7pm
Cost:  $15 per session plus $10. for beginners kit

 

  

Remember that all supplies must be purchased at the Hook and Needle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You must call to register at least 2 days in advance.  All fees must be paid in full at the start of the class.

The Hook and Needle reserves the right to cancel a class where a minimum enrollment is not met.
