Meet and Greet for Summer Flies Shawl Friday, July 9th 6pm .
Summer Flies was published in Ravelry by one of our own - Donna Griffin. "The
Butterfly and lace motifs are accented by a knotted openwork trellis. This shawl is
worked in sections with increases made only on the right side rows. This creates a
gentle curve for a shallow half round shawl." her by knitting lots.
Let's post a picture on Ravelry showing lots of ladies with their finished shawls!!!
Cost $20 plus supplies
Tatting 102 Wednesday July 7th 10am - noon
This class further expands your knowledge of tatting. We will cover joining, reverse
work and continuous thread. Patterns from books will seem so easy after you take
this class
Cost $30
Socks 1 Wednesday July 21, 28 and August 4th 6pm - 7:30pm
This is a 3-part class that teaches you to make socks. Using a cuff down pattern, worsted weight yarn and double
point needles, you will complete a sock. This class has homework!
Supplies: One skein worsted weight yarn and a set of size 4 double point needles.
Cost $50.

The Basics...
Join me on Monday's to learn how to knit or crochet. Whether you have never knitted or crocheted or just not done it in many years, this ongoing program will help you get into the habit again. Come as often as you want and only pay for the times you are here taking the lessons you want.
We will cover: Knitting - casting on, binding off, knitting, purling, ribbing, basic increases/decreases and pattern reading. Crocheting - chain, single double, half double, slip stitch, granny squares and pattern reading.
Class times: 9:30 - 11am or 5:30 - 7pm
Cost: $15 per session plus $10. for beginners kit
Remember that all supplies must be purchased at the Hook and Needle.
You must call to register at least 2 days in advance. All fees must be paid in full at the start of the class.
The Hook and Needle reserves the right to cancel a class where a minimum enrollment is not met.
